Imam Shafi Islamic Academy, an institution that offers both islamic and materialistic education named after the guide and Sayyid of our Madh’hab, Imam Muhammad ibnu Idris Shafi ( r ) has already acquired prominance among the other colleges in Kerala. It was established in Badriya Nagar, kumbala , Kasaragod in 2008 by Marhum Shaikhuna MA Qasim Usthad .
Today there are about 500 students in the institution who bloom out with religious as well as materialistic aspects. We can undoubtfully predict that in sha allhah the descendants of Imam Shafi Islamic Academy will play a major role in the creation of a morally conscious society. By now ,in four batches, several Asshafee scholars have been received Sanad and entered preaching and higher fields as well.
SHE Campus, which was set up by recognizing the importance of women’s education on a secure campus in the new era, has become a huge success.
These institutions were established by Shaikhuna MA Kasim Usthad with his unblemished Thavakkul to the Almighty and the Thavassul of Imam to create a good and pious scholarly community to protect the Holy Religion.

Imam Shafi Islamic Academy was established by Marhum shaikhuna MA Qasim musliyar, who was the member of the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama Central Committee & Secretary of the Board of Education and also a master of four decades of selfless service in the field of Dars, on account of his great desire and never ending efforts.This venture could prove its autheticity with the supports of his close disciples, relatives & some of the great benevolent people .
The Institution started its regime in a quarters room on June 25, 2008 which later on shifted to the current area is progressing rapidly with the operational excellences . Now Imam shafi Islamic Academy stands proudly as one of the leading institutions offering integrated education in Uttara Malabar.
MA Qasim Musliyar , the honourable founder of Imam Shafi Islamic Academy ,badriya nagar , kumbla was born on 12 August 1953.He was the member of samastha kendra mushavara from many years and later became the secretary of samastha kerala education board.He was born to a Great scholar, Abdurrahman Musliar and beefathima who belonged to a very pious and prominant ancestry. After primary education, he went for ‘dars’ under eminent masters from various places and then went to Dhayoobandh Darul Uloom and acquired Al Qasimi Degree in 1970.
Ceaseless four decades of religious preach , propagation and unconditional social service, made him a unique personality..It was his big dream since years , to develop an integrated education complex with in his terrain.So, in the year 2008 he began the first class of this great institution.Shaikhuna who proved to be a memorable part to the people all around passed away on August 11, 2019, on the very divine day of ‘Arafah’.

Muhammad ibn idreesu shafi’i (r), who authored over two hundred books, constituting 120 exclusively in Fiqh , was extremely talented in all areas of knowledge. He had a clear style of worship, even though he reached the depths of knowledge and created treasures of great wonders to illuminate the world.
He managed his life pleasingly by dividing the nights into triad.First one for seeking knowledge, the second for prayer, and the rest for sleep. Imam Shafi’i ( r) is also remembered by the Muslim world as the person who gave the authentic basis of Islamic jurisprudence based on the Qur’an and Hadith.
The great philanthropist who was born in Palestine in the year 150 AH, revolutionized the world with his unparalleled knowledge & spiritual uprising and brought about a strong stream of action in the Muslim world.
The unique scholar passed away in 204 Hijra.
